Yamaha UX Upright Piano

The Yamaha UX Piano is very similar to the U3 model. It is 52″ in height and usually a polished ebony finish. It differs in the design only slightly in the cabinet. This  UX has an “X” support that  supposed to support the tension of the strings better and thus enabling the piano to hold its tuning longer than “normal” pianos. The UX pianos have a slightly deeper sound, meaning more body. But regardless of its structural differences one important plus that it has over the U3 is the hammer. The UX comes with a mahogany molded hammer which gives it a nicer, more well rounded tone.
